2024 in Tech: Fewer Layoffs, but Challenges Remain

After the storm of layoffs that swept through the tech sector in 2023, 2024 brought some much-needed calm—though not without its bumps. According to Layoffs.fyi, the number of tech employees let go in 2024 dropped by 43% year-over-year, with 150,034 layoffs compared to a staggering 264,220 the previous year.
